A number of stress analyses were required to evaluate the structural integrity of a Waste Heat Recovery Unit (WHRU) designed by TEi Limited (TEi) for a Floating Production Storage & Offloading Vessel (FPSO).
The unit was designed to fit the configuration of an existing vessel, hence the eccentric shape of the unit, which brought about a number of design and construction challenges.
